As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage employee and visitor entry, verify credentials, issue badges, and maintain clear access logs. You will conduct visible rounds near entrances and key areas, watch for unusual activity, and communicate concerns to site teams while delivering outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to client personnel, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access to the location by verifying identification, issuing and/or collecting visitor credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing individuals to appropriate check-in points.
  • Monitor entry and exit points such as lobbies, employee entrances, and vehicle gates, including coordinating deliveries and pickups in accordance with site rules to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate contacts per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the perimeter as directed, reporting hazards, unusual activity, and/or maintenance concerns through approved channels.
