As a Security Officer - Entry Screening in Boise, ID , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a leading tech and telecom location, you will greet employees and visitors, support entry screening and access control, and help maintain a professional, welcoming atmosphere. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols as needed, and document and communicate security-related concerns. Bring strong customer service and clear communication while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Screen employees, contractors, and visitors at entry points by verifying identification, confirming authorization, and directing individuals to the appropriate check-in process.
  • Monitor access control points and surveillance systems for unusual activity, escalating concerns through established communication and reporting channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Complete accurate activity logs and incident reports, and assist with enforcing site rules that help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior.
