As a Screener in a busy healthcare location, you will greet patients and visitors, support access control, verify credentials, and help guide people to the right areas while keeping a visible presence at key entry points. You will communicate clearly with staff and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific access control and screening procedures at a healthcare location, including directing individuals to appropriate check-in areas.
  • Conduct entry screening activities such as observing for prohibited items and/or concerning behaviors, requesting identification when required, and assisting with visitor management processes in accordance with site policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying clinical staff and/or site leadership as appropriate and completing required reports.
  • Support emergency response activities by following established protocols for medical, fire, and/or facility alerts, including helping to coordinate controlled movement of people through entrances and lobbies.
  • Maintain a visible presence at assigned posts to help to deter unauthorized access and other security-related concerns, and communicate observations promptly to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
