About The Position

As a Security Officer - Entry Screener in Fort Myers, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech and/or telecom location.
  • Screen individuals and property entering the facility using approved screening processes and equipment, including checking identification, validating access authorization, and conducting bag and/or package inspections as directed by post orders.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, and screening areas for unusual activity, promptly report concerns, and document security-related events, incidents, and observations in written and/or electronic logs.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, assisting with evacuations and/or shelter procedures, and supporting first responders when they arrive.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, interior spaces, and perimeter to identify security-related concerns, hazards, and policy violations, and communicate findings to Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts.
