As a Security Officer - Unarmed Retail Patrol in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and fostering a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. Requirements
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Applicants should be comfortable using a computer or tablet; this is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Observe and report any unusual circumstances or activities to Allied Universal management and/or site leadership as required.
- Assist with access control procedures and help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas within the retail environment.
- Support the enforcement of location policies and procedures while maintaining a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal team members as needed.
