About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hospital Entry Driver in Rensselaer, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment within a dynamic healthcare location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to assist staff and visitors. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the healthcare facility, verifying identification and credentials of employees, visitors, and vendors in accordance with site-specific policies.
Provide customer service to individuals entering or exiting the location, answering questions and assisting with directions as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as required.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and observe for unusual activity.
Document and report any security-related incidents or irregularities in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
Assist with emergency response activities, following established protocols for the healthcare environment.
Collaborate with onsite staff and law enforcement as needed to support a secure environment.
Maintain a professional presence while performing security-related duties at the healthcare location.
