About The Position
As a Security Officer Entry Control in Fredericksburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, patients, staff, and vendors by following site-specific access control procedures and Allied Universal protocols at a healthcare location.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other controlled access points, verify identification and credentials, and help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and support emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate logs of visitor activity, deliveries, and/or unusual incidents, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, lobbies, and perimeter locations, as work environments and conditions may vary by site.
