About The Position

As a Security Officer - Entry Control in Estero, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a residential location, you will greet residents and guests while managing access control at entrances and checkpoints. You will monitor activity, complete routine patrols, document incidents, and communicate clearly with property staff and visitors to help support a positive environment and help to deter security-related issues. Bring an agile, reliable, and innovative mindset, and deliver with teamwork, care, and integrity.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access at entry and exit points by verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor instructions, and directing traffic flow as needed.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems when assigned, and report irregular activity that may help to deter unauthorized entry or property damage.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, completing incident reports and communicating updates to site management and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, observing conditions and reporting maintenance or security-related concerns.
