Security Officer - Entry Control
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Entry Control in North Jackson, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage visitor and vehicle entry, check credentials, maintain logs, and support badge control and gate operations. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with staff and guests. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Control access at entry and exit points by checking identification, managing visitor logs, issuing temporary badges as directed, and coordinating with site contacts for authorizations.
- Monitor and respond to alarms, access control events, and/or camera activity, and document observations and actions according to post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, policy violations, and/or suspicious activity to the appropriate contacts.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout manufacturing and industrial areas, including entrances, production-adjacent corridors, and perimeter points as directed by post orders.
