Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, checking credentials, and monitoring entry and exit activity at the location.
  • Respond to incidents, policy concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Monitor doors, gates, receiving areas, and/or other designated access points to help support authorized access and document unusual activity, deliveries, and visitor traffic.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the sales floor, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
  • Complete required reports related to access activity, incidents, and/or security-related concerns while following Allied Universal standards and site-specific policies.
