As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help manage site entry and visitor processing, verify credentials, and support orderly vehicle and pedestrian flow. You will stay visible, conduct routine patrols, and document security-related activity while providing strong customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control entry and exit at designated access points by verifying identification, issuing badges, maintaining visitor and vendor logs, and directing individuals to the proper location per site procedures.
  • Screen inbound and outbound traffic, including delivery and pickup vehicles, by checking documentation, coordinating with site contacts, and reporting irregularities per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting events, and assisting with scene management as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production-adjacent areas, warehouses, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations, and report conditions requiring attention.
