About The Position

As a Security Officer Entry Control Driver in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, visitor processing, credential checks, and/or entry and exit documentation for a transportation location.
  • Monitor gates, entry points, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas, including perimeter points, access routes, and operational spaces, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Communicate with site personnel, drivers, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding access requests, deliveries, and/or security-related concerns, and prepare accurate daily activity and incident reports.
