As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a food and beverage location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue and track badges, and maintain clear logs while staying visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet employees and visitors with professional customer service, communicate concerns promptly, and support a people-first team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and grounded in integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production and distribution location.
  • Control access at entry and exit points by checking identification, issuing temporary badges as directed, managing visitor and contractor logs, and directing traffic flow to approved routes.
  • Monitor and manage inbound and outbound deliveries by confirming scheduled appointments, verifying shipping and receiving documentation as directed, and coordinating with site contacts for dock access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, policy violations, and suspicious activity through required communication channels.
  • Support investigations and compliance needs by completing accurate reports, maintaining access control records, and escalating concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
