As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Roving Patrol in Pedricktown, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. The position requires a six (6) month commitment for designated fixed shifts, with the option to pick up extra shifts through a scheduling platform.

Requirements

Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, loading and unloading areas, parking lots, trailer yards, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, gates, and/or visitor activity, assisting with the flow of employees, drivers, vendors, and deliveries according to post instructions.
Support security-related operations by reporting hazards, damaged property, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations, and following Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.
