Located in Toledo, OH, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts. The role involves a fixed-shift commitment (Anchor Shifts) at a designated site for a six-month period, serving as a reliable base schedule. Additionally, employees can pick up extra shifts through a scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites, allowing for a flexible schedule that can range from part-time to up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back as needed. This position is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, front desk protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy food and beverage location.
  • Monitor access at the front desk by greeting employees, visitors, and drivers, verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, and documenting arrivals and departures according to site policies.
  • Answer phones, support reception-related duties, and communicate with site contacts, vendors, and guests in a professional manner while helping to address security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and prepare clear reports for security-related and workplace-related events.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by maintaining awareness of lobby activity, observing entry points, and reporting maintenance issues, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
