The role involves a fixed-shift commitment (Anchor Shifts) for a designated site and weekly shift, requiring a six-month commitment. Additionally, employees can earn more through the Claim-A-Shift Program by picking up extra shifts via a scheduling platform, allowing for increased earnings and experience across multiple sites. This enables working part-time hours one week and full-time the next, with the option to scale back when needed. This position is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and media location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and support orderly entry and exit procedures in accordance with site rules and post instructions.
