As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Driver in Augusta, GA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. The role involves a fixed-shift commitment (Anchor Shifts) for a designated site and weekly shift, requiring a six-month commitment. Additionally, employees can earn more through the Claim-A-Shift Program by picking up extra shifts via a scheduling platform, allowing for increased earnings and experience across multiple sites, with the option to work part-time or build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, or scale back when needed. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a technology and telecommunications location.
Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns according to site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, common areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify access permissions as directed, and assist with visitor processing and/or badge checks in accordance with location procedures.
Support communication with site contacts, employees, visitors, and/or first responders during routine operations and incident response activities.
