That’s why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader. As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Front Desk in Malvern, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. This role works with a Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”) where you will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. This allows you to work part-time hours one week and full-time the next, as it’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a front desk location within a financial services environment.
  • Monitor lobby and reception areas, greet visitors, verify credentials, and direct employees, guests, and vendors according to site access protocols.
  • Answer phones, manage visitor logs, issue temporary access materials as directed, and report unusual activity or concerns to site leadership in a timely manner.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post orders and documented response guidelines.
  • Support front desk operations by observing entry activity, maintaining awareness of the surrounding area, and helping to deter unauthorized access through consistent application of established procedures.
