As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Facility Patrol in Chicago, IL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a busy commercial property.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout buildings, common areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic public areas, verify authorized access when required, and provide directions and assistance to guests in a professional manner.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and maintenance or security-related concerns, and communicate relevant information to property management and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
