About The Position

The position involves a fixed-shift commitment, referred to as "Anchor Shifts," for a designated site and weekly schedule, requiring a six-month commitment. In addition to the fixed shift, employees can utilize a scheduling platform to claim extra shifts, allowing them to increase earnings and gain experience across various sites, potentially working part-time one week and full-time the next. This role is ideal for candidates looking for part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or faculty by carrying out site-specific procedures, campus policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and communicating with campus contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout academic buildings, common areas, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe for security-related concerns, and assist with directions, escorts, and general support at the location.
• Support security-related operations during classes, events, and/or after-hours periods while following post orders and reporting procedures.
