As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver in Gibbstown, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. This role involves a fixed-shift commitment (“Anchor Shifts”) at a designated site and weekly shift, requiring a six (6) month commitment. Additionally, employees can pick-up extra shifts through the “Claim-A-Shift Program” to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites, allowing for flexibility to work part-time or build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week. This position is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout operational areas, buildings, access points, and perimeter locations, with attention to security-related concerns and authorized access activity.
  • Monitor for unauthorized entry, suspicious behavior, hazardous conditions, and/or policy violations, and document security-related incidents according to site procedures.
  • Support access control activities by verifying credentials, monitoring visitor and contractor movement, and following established post orders for restricted and/or sensitive areas.
