As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Screener in Sanford, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works:
Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen people, packages, bags, and/or personal items entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders, client guidelines, and Allied Universal procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report findings to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, entry points, dock areas, and perimeter locations, with work assignments and conditions varying by site.
• Document screening activity, policy violations, and/or incidents with clear and accurate reports to help support daily operations and follow-up actions.
