About The Position

As a Security Officer - EMT in Asheville, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading aero and defense location as an unarmed Patrol Officer. You will conduct routine foot and/or mobile patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, document observations, and respond to requests with strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • EMT Certification is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • CPR Certification is preferred.
  • Ride a Bike for Long Periods of Time is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and public responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by post.
  • Monitor access points and help manage entry and exit by following badging, visitor processing, and contractor check-in procedures per site requirements.
  • Complete reports for incidents, patrol observations, and unusual activity, and communicate updates to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
