Job Description As a Security Officer - EMT Response Driver in Detroit, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. As a driving post, you may support multiple areas of the site while delivering professional customer service and clear communication with teams and visitors. Requirements

  • EMT Certification is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a chemical and petrochemical facility.
  • Monitor access control points and verify authorization for entry, vehicles, and deliveries, helping to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, spills or vapor concerns, fires, medical events, and operational disruptions, and coordinate notifications per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of process areas, tank farms, loading and unloading zones, and perimeter lines, documenting unusual conditions and reporting hazards and/or policy violations to site contacts.
  • Complete detailed reports and log entries for patrols, incidents, and maintenance observations, and support compliance activities by following required documentation and communication protocols.
