As a Security Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document activity, and communicate clearly with site leaders, visitors, and your Allied Universal team. In this role, you will bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset while supporting a reliable, agile, and innovative operation.

Requirements

  • An EMT Certification is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • A primarily driving post is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and/or public responders when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, yards, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, managing visitor and contractor sign-in, and directing deliveries to approved locations per site policy.
  • Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, monitor cameras and/or alarm systems, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
