Job Description As a Security Officer Educational Building Patrol Detail in Brooklyn, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations across the location in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and communicating with campus personnel when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout academic buildings, residence areas, parking lots, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry to designated areas while following site-specific protocols for visitors, deliveries, and after-hours activity.
- Support a professional campus environment by providing directions, assisting with routine inquiries, and reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy-related issues to the appropriate contacts.
