About The Position
As a Security Guard - Education Campus Foot Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within an educational setting, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, faculty, students, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with de-escalation as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues observed during patrols.
- Assist with controlling access to campus facilities, verifying identification as required, and supporting campus events as needed.
- Work collaboratively with campus staff and/or local authorities when responding to incidents or emergencies.
- Document all incidents, observations, and actions taken in detailed and accurate written reports.
