About The Position

As a Security Officer - Education Site Patrol Specialist in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a prominent educational location, you will serve as the first point of contact for visitors, students, and staff. Your primary responsibility will be to monitor access, verify credentials, and assist with badge procedures, helping to create a welcoming yet secure environment. By maintaining a visible presence at the front desk, you will help to deter security-related incidents and provide exceptional customer service through clear communication and a professional demeanor. You will respond to inquiries, manage visitor logs, and provide support during routine operations or emergencies. Requirements

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to individuals at the front desk by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access to the building by verifying identification and logging visitor information as required by site guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Assist with the management of deliveries and packages at the front desk, maintaining records as needed.
  • Communicate professionally with students, faculty, staff, and visitors to address inquiries and provide information related to building access and policies.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site representatives to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activities at the location.
