About The Position

As a Security Officer - Education Reception Desk in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at this dynamic education location, you will serve as the first point of contact, greeting visitors, managing access control, and assisting students, staff, and guests. You will help to deter security-related incidents through your presence and provide outstanding customer service, all while upholding Allied Universal's values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and managing visitor sign-in and/or sign-out processes.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as needed, including communicating with site personnel and Allied Universal management.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual activity, or maintenance concerns observed from the front desk position.
  • Maintain a professional presence at the front desk, helping to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior.
