As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and foster a welcoming environment. You will conduct regular patrols, interact with students, staff, and visitors, and provide outstanding customer service while addressing security-related concerns. Requirements

At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within an educational environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and client requirements.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, and helping to maintain authorized access to designated areas.
Support emergency response activities as directed, including guiding individuals during drills and/or real events.
Communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and/or client representatives regarding incidents, concerns, or requests for assistance.
