As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a highly visible presence throughout the campus. Your role will involve monitoring designated areas, supporting access control, and providing outstanding customer service to all individuals you encounter. Requirements

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations on campus in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout educational buildings and surrounding campus perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify potential issues.
Observe and report suspicious behavior or incidents to appropriate personnel and/or law enforcement as needed.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification, and helping to maintain authorized presence in designated areas.
Provide information and assistance to individuals on campus, helping to direct them and answer questions as needed.
Support emergency response efforts by following established protocols for fire alarms, medical emergencies, and other critical incidents at the education location.
