About The Position

As a Security Officer - Education Patrol Roving in Philadelphia, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within an educational location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming environment. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the education location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting students, staff, and visitors as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and provide a visible Allied Universal presence.
Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activities, hazards, or maintenance issues within the education environment.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification, and helping to maintain order within the location.
Support emergency response efforts by following established protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel or authorities as directed.
