Job Description As a Security Officer - Education Patrol Driver in Farmingville, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, where you will be responsible for patrolling the premises and responding to situations as needed. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within the educational location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and site-specific guidelines.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the educational facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or potential threats encountered during patrols or while on post.
Communicate clearly and professionally with site staff, visitors, and emergency responders as needed.
Document all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.
Remain alert and aware of surroundings to help to deter potential security-related incidents in the educational environment.
