Job Description As a Security Officer - Education Facility Patrol in La Jolla, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional, you will monitor and patrol an educational campus, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Your presence will provide reassurance to the campus community while you respond to situations with professionalism and care. This is a driving post, so you will play a key role in covering various areas and supporting campus operations with agility, reliability, and a strong commitment to our values.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the campus and perimeter, adapting to the unique environment of an educational location.
- Monitor for suspicious activity and report any security-related concerns or hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist visitors, students, and staff with directions and general information as needed.
- Support access control procedures to help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
- Document incidents and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
