As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will conduct regular patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for educational environments.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure atmosphere.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas to observe and report any suspicious behavior or security-related concerns.
- Communicate and collaborate with campus personnel and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
- Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and any observations related to security-related events.
- Assist with access control and visitor management in accordance with campus policies and procedures.
