As a Screener with Allied Universal at a busy education location, you will welcome students, faculty, staff, and visitors while supporting access control and entry screening. You will remain highly visible at key points, observe activity, communicate clearly, and report concerns while providing customer-focused service. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an education location.
  • Screen students, staff, visitors, and deliveries at designated entry points using approved screening methods and/or equipment, and direct individuals to the appropriate check-in process.
  • Support access control by verifying identification and/or authorization, managing visitor logs as required, and communicating entry requirements in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns, documenting activity, and escalating issues per site procedures.
  • Monitor entry areas for security-related concerns and help to deter unauthorized entry by maintaining awareness, controlling queues, and coordinating with site staff and/or campus response partners as needed.
