Job Description As a Security Officer - Education Campus Patrols Full-Time in Philadelphia, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol the campus environment, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible and approachable. Your presence supports a welcoming atmosphere for students, faculty, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to situations as needed, and deliver exceptional customer service, reflecting our commitment to teamwork, integrity, and a people-first culture in an educational setting.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor the premises for unusual activity, reporting any concerns according to established protocols.
Assist students, staff, and visitors with directions and information as needed while maintaining a visible Allied Universal presence.
Support access control measures by observing entry and exit points and verifying identification as required.
Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities in daily reports.
