As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence for students, staff, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols and engage with the campus community, delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding our core values of agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for educational environments.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure atmosphere.
Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry and support campus protocols.
Support emergency response activities, including evacuation procedures or medical emergencies, as directed by site policies.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site management.
