Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, participate in emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner on campus grounds and within educational buildings.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related hazards within the educational environment to the appropriate personnel.
Assist students, staff, and visitors with security-related questions and directions as needed.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and patrol findings.
Collaborate with campus staff and/or local authorities as required to address security-related issues.
