About The Position

As a Security Officer - Driving Patrol in Portland, OR , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will focus on access control by greeting associates and drivers, verifying credentials, managing visitor and vehicle entry, and maintaining clear logs and communication. You will remain highly visible, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while delivering customer service with integrity and teamwork. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license per AU Driver Policy Requirements.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at entry and exit points by verifying identification and/or credentials for employees, visitors and drivers, issuing temporary badges when authorized, and directing individuals to proper check-in locations.
  • Monitor and document vehicle and pedestrian traffic, maintain visitor and delivery logs, and support dock and yard operations by communicating with site contacts regarding arrivals, departures and/or access issues.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting policy violations, suspicious activity and/or hazards to appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, loading areas, parking lots and perimeter, and report maintenance concerns and/or irregular conditions per site procedures.
