About The Position

As a Security Officer - Driving Guard - Weekdays in Culver City, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal at a cultural institution location where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. As a driving post, you may operate a vehicle to support site coverage and response. You will greet visitors, assist staff, and communicate clearly while documenting observations. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors at a cultural institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, verify authorized entry, and assist with visitor directions, event support, and/or crowd flow during services, programs, and special events.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, and/or property-related concerns, and notify site leadership and emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces, galleries, offices, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify hazards, and report maintenance concerns; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Complete required reports and logs, document incidents and observations, and communicate security-related information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
