As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will make scheduled rounds and drive between areas, remain highly visible, and report security-related concerns with clear communication and customer service. You will support property teams by responding to calls, documenting activity, and using technology to share updates. Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior common areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and respond to access-related issues by observing door and gate activity, verifying authorization when required by post orders, and reporting concerns to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating updates to appropriate contacts.
  • Complete required reports such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports, and promptly report policy violations, suspicious activity, and/or property damage.
