About The Position

As a Security Officer - Perimeter Driver Rounds in Spring, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and access concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, contractors and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or public emergency services as required.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, processing areas, parking areas and perimeter lines; working environments and conditions may vary by post.
  • Control access through gates and/or checkpoints by verifying credentials, issuing temporary passes as authorized, logging entries and exits and directing traffic flow.
  • Complete detailed reports on patrols, incidents, inspections and unusual activity; document policy concerns and communicate observations to the Allied Universal supervisor and/or site contacts to help to deter unwanted activity.
