About The Position
As a Security Officer Driver Site Rounds in Harvey, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor activity, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a strong visible presence. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and local responders when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout rail-adjacent facilities, access points, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, remaining aware of changing conditions across the property.
- Monitor entry and exit activity for authorized personnel, visitors, deliveries, and/or vehicles, helping to deter unauthorized access and reporting suspicious behavior or policy concerns.
- Support day-to-day operations by preparing incident reports, maintaining activity logs, and sharing relevant information during shift changes to help promote consistent security-related coverage.
