Job Description As a Security Officer - Driver Perimeter Sweeps in Sterling, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a high-tech data facility, you will conduct routine rounds, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, support access control, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Lift Up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and/or visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology data center location.
• Control access to the site by monitoring entry points, verifying identification and/or authorizations, issuing visitor instructions, and directing individuals to appropriate contacts or areas per site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including identifying concerns, communicating with site leadership and/or emergency services as directed, and assisting with incident stabilization.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including perimeter checks and equipment yard walk-throughs, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other building systems as assigned, and complete detailed reports of observations, incidents, and patrol activities using required logs and reporting tools.
