Security Officer - Driver Patrol - Afternoons
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Mobile Driver Patrol in Eden Prairie, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Allied Universal unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, using a vehicle to cover larger areas, respond to calls for service, and support shoppers and tenants through strong customer service and clear communication.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, tenants, retailers, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, corridors, loading areas, and perimeter parking areas, noting and reporting unusual conditions.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and/or local emergency services as needed.
- Monitor and control access points as assigned, assist with crowd and/or queue management, and help to deter loitering, disorderly conduct, and/or policy violations.
- Complete timely reports and logs, document incident details, and communicate observations and follow-up actions to Allied Universal supervisors and site contacts.
