This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, supporting mobile coverage and rapid response as needed. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, clergy, and/or volunteers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a cultural institution location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, fire alarms, and/or suspicious activity, and communicate updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior galleries, chapels, offices, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited behavior; working environments and conditions may vary by site and event schedule.
  • Monitor entrances, access points, and visitor flow, including verifying credentials, providing directions and information, and maintaining visitor logs and/or sign-in procedures as required.
  • Complete detailed reports for incidents, hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations, and support event operations such as opening and closing procedures, crowd management, and coordination with local law enforcement when requested.
