As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will provide clear communication, outstanding customer service, and timely reporting while supporting site access and operational needs. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, processing areas, loading and parking areas, and perimeter points to help to identify unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, and/or policy violations.
  • Control access by verifying identification and/or authorization, managing visitor and contractor check-in, and directing traffic flow in accordance with site requirements.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or communication systems; respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify site contacts and/or public responders as required.
  • Complete routine reports and incident documentation, maintain logs of patrols and observations, and communicate relevant information during shift turnover.
