About The Position

As a Security Officer - Driver Patrol in Madison, WI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer supporting a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents. This is a driving post, so you will use a valid driver’s license to move between areas as needed, communicate clearly, and deliver customer service that reflects Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity, with a caring culture that puts people first.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of prior security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, tenants, visitors, and/or vendors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, completing reports, and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, verify credentials when required, and help to maintain orderly movement of people throughout the facility.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns, document findings in logs, and communicate updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
