About The Position

As a Security Officer - Driver Patrol Full-Time in Elkton, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will complete routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support employees and visitors with courteous service and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under the AU Driver Policy. You will represent Allied Universal with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity in every interaction.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, and the property perimeter, noting irregular conditions and reporting findings per post orders.
  • Support access control activities by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials as directed, and directing visitors and contractors to the appropriate check-in process.
  • Complete routine documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift handoffs, and communicate timely updates to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
